Although Fit To Travel has been inactive lately, that’s because I’ve been really busy! I regularly write a Social Media Management column for Top Ten Social Media at is.gd/LisaSocial, I have an ongoing series on Skiing and Ski History for ShipSkis.com. Also I write many of the articles at my and my husband Mark’s Uruguay-related venture, The Uruguay Expat Life / Uruguay For Me Site Network. We also launched and are growing our own Social Media business, Southern Cross Web and Social Marketing!
You can read more about what I’m doing, and keep up with my latest articles, at all of those sites. Plus don’t forget to follow my public Facebook Profile and my public Google+ Posts, along with my Twitter feed. Thanks and I’ll see you both here and all around the Modern Social Web!
This is my life in Atlántida, Uruguay, and elsewhere in my travels in South America.
Check out this photo collage show. Includes Portillo, Chile, where I was the featured guest for a Ski Fitness Week, and visiting Santiago, Chile.

Breckenridge still has another month of ski season, but if you go, don’t forget explore the historic town!
What a long strange trip it’s been. Wiser words have never been spoken. One day, it will all make sense, but for now, I almost enjoy the state of perpetual wonder. I’d rather ask “What’s it all about?” than “Is that all there is?”
So who am I? I was born in New York City, and have lived in Boston, Colorado, North Carolina and Washington State. I entered the fitness industry in 1973, back when Ms. Fonda was still hanging out with Ho Chi Minh, and I continue to write hopefully informative and enlightening fitness and travel articles. My books include:
Breckenridge: A Guide to the Sights and Slopes of Summit County
Winter Fitness: Mastering Life Through Love of the Slopes
Loveland: A Novel of Colorado
Victorian Breckenridge: A Visual Podcast
If my name sounds vaguely familiar, you might have seen my work in publications such as Aspen Magazine, HerSports, 32Degrees, Fitness Plus and other print and online publications.
I created this blog to share my published work and expertise with my readers.
