My heart will always be in Colorado. I owned a fitness studio here, worked as a tour guide for the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance, as a mentor for Snowsport Outreach Society , a a surveyor for Copper Mountain and an actress at the Backstage Theatre. It was the most wonderful and most devastating time in my life. Colorado has my heart, but my heart can’t handle the altitude in large doses. I continue to write about it and sing its praises.  If you plan to visit, be sure to pick up a copy of my book, Breckenridge: A Guide to the Sights and Slopes of Summit County and my Visual Podcast Tour of Breckenridge.

Welcome to My World

What a long strange trip it’s been. Wiser words have never been spoken.  One day, it will all make sense, but for now, I almost enjoy the state of perpetual wonder.  I’d rather ask “What’s it all about?” than “Is that all there is?”

So who am I? I was born in New York City, and have lived in Boston, Colorado, North Carolina and Washington State. I entered the fitness industry in 1973, back when Ms. Fonda was still hanging out with Ho Chi Minh, and I continue to write hopefully informative and enlightening fitness and travel articles. My books include:

Breckenridge: A Guide to the Sights and Slopes of Summit County

Winter Fitness: Mastering Life Through Love of the Slopes

Loveland: A Novel of Colorado

Victorian Breckenridge: A Visual Podcast

If  my name sounds vaguely familiar,  you might have seen my work in publications such as Aspen Magazine, HerSports, 32Degrees, Fitness Plus and other print and online publications.

I created this blog to share my published work and expertise with my readers.
